True Children Learn  (TCL) is a new citywide organization in the state of Illinois working to prevent the turmoil caused by children being victims of gun violence. Founded in 2016 by a Chicago teacher concerned about raising her son in a city proliferated with guns and devastated with consequences that result from gun availability in her community, TCL works diligently to provide a variety of fronts to educate our youth and raise public awareness. For 10 years,  our founder has witnessed several former students fall victims to our city’s new epidemic, with TCL we will be able to reach more youth inside the classroom in an effort to prevent gun violence across the city of Chicago.
